How to Find Free Parking in Las Vegas

When Sin City reopened for business after a COVID-19 shutdown, one of the upsides will be much more free parking in Las Vegas.

All of MGM and Caesars resorts have announced free parking when they reopen following the COVID-19 shutdown, and the Cosmopolitan resort has added its name to this list.

Strictly speaking, the Vegas Strip is a 4.2-mile section of South Las Vegas Boulevard known for its concentration of resort hotels and casinos. It stretches from the Stratosphere Las Vegas, on the northern end, to the Mandalay Bay Resort, on the southern end. But the term “Las Vegas Strip” is often used more loosely to describe not only to the road but also to the hotels and casinos lining it, and even to properties in close proximity.

Free Parking at Hotels on the Vegas Strip

Even before the pandemic hit, all of the resorts on the Strip will let you self-park for free for up to one hour, but that’s not tremendously helpful as most visitors spend longer than an hour in any given property.

Many hotels charge all guests and non-guests for parking when you stay longer than an hour. Guests will have the parking fee charged to their hotel rooms. Non-guests collect a ticket when arriving at the garage, and pay at the gate when leaving.

Beyond the MGM, Caesars and Cosmopolitan resorts, the list of hotels that offer free parking is growing. The Venetian and the Palazzo offer both free valet parking and self-parking. In addition, you can find free self-parking spots all hours of the day at the Tropicana, Sahara, Stratosphere, Casino Royale, and Treasure Island.

At the majority of hotels on the Strip, the general rule is that the pricier hotels charge more than the less expensive properties.

Circus-Circus has always offered free self-parking, while valet rates start at $10 per hour. If you’re making a quick stop along the Strip, parking at the Cosmopolitan is free for the first hour, and then $7 for up to four hours.

The Wynn and Encore hotels now let you park for free without having to spend a minimum on dining, gambling, or entertainment.

Free Parking at Shopping Malls on the Vegas Strip

You might not have come to the Vegas Strip to shop, but shopping malls can be the perfect place to snag a free spot. Find a spot at the Shoppes at Mandalay Place (between Mandalay Bay and the Luxor), the Shops at Crystals (in front of Aria and Vdara) and Fashion Show Mall (across the street from Wynn-Encore). Of course, parking at shopping malls is self-park only.

More Opportunities for Free Parking on the Vegas Strip

There are other ways to snag free parking, but you’ll need to be willing to spend first.

Are you a high roller? Avid gamblers can earn membership to a hotel’s rewards program, and this can also get you access to free parking and other perks all along the Strip. Caesars’ players club members can park for free at Bally’s, Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, Harrah’s, The Linq, Paris and Planet Hollywood, with valet parking included for higher-tier members. The Cosmopolitan has its own players’ club rewards program, with free self-parking for all members and free valet for those with more status.

The Caesars Rewards loyalty program offers free valet or self-parking at Caesars Entertainment properties, which include Bally’s, Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, Harrah’s, The Linq, Paris, and Planet Hollywood.

MGM Resorts has a loyalty program called M Life Rewards, that offers a slew of benefits and discounts. The program is good at MGM’s many popular locales along the Strip, including Aria, Bellagio, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Mirage, New York-New York and Park MGM.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you rent a car from one European country to return it to another?

A way to make travel more convenient is to rent cars in multiple countries, but have them returned from the country they were rented.

This might not be feasible because most people don’t want extra mileage. Rental agencies often charge more to return a car to an area other than the one it was originally rented.

If you do not plan to travel often, you may choose to stay only in one country.

What documents are required to drive in Europe with a license?

You will need all documentation for each country you visit.

Also, you will need to have copies of your passport, driving licence, and insurance policy. The insurance policy will need to cover you while driving in Europe.

In certain countries, proof of ownership may be required. This could include registration papers or a bill de sale.

Some countries require drivers from their home countries to have a valid driving license.

What’s the best roadtrip in Europe?

It is important to take time to stop at interesting spots along the road, rather than driving from A to B in the quickest possible.

There are many great roads throughout Europe, but none quite as breathtaking as the route from Venice to Dubrovnik.

For much of the trip, you’ll be driving through stunning scenery. There are many stops along the route to enjoy all the sights.

Highlights include Torcello and Lido di Jesolo islands on Lake Garda, northern Italy’s Dolomites and Lake Como, and Carcassonne, a walled medieval town in southern France.

How To

How to report a rental-car accident

If you rent a vehicle to travel in, there is always the possibility of something happening while driving. You could get into an accident, your luggage might get stolen, or even worse, someone gets injured! In such cases, it is important to understand how to file an insurance claim.

The United States requires that any accident involving a car should be reported immediately. The police will then be able to document the details of the accident and notify you about their investigation results. The police will issue you a ticket, or take a note at the scene. They’ll then take care of submitting a claim for your driver’s licensure.

You should call 911 immediately after getting into an accident. A dispatcher will ask basic questions regarding the situation and whether anyone was hurt. After that, the dispatcher will inform you of where to go and whom to speak to next. In most cases, exchanging contact information is the first thing that you do after an accident. The other person will probably give you his/her name and phone number. Next, ensure everyone is well. You’ll help someone who is unable or hurt to move independently.

If no one was hurt, you’ll want to document everything. Notate the time, place and weather conditions. The type of collision. Names of all involved. Injuries sustained. You should seek medical attention if anyone has been injured. You should also keep track of any damages you cause to the vehicle of another person.

You will want to follow-up with your insurer. You will first need to fill out an online claim form. Most insurance companies will offer to pay the deductible before they pay the rest of your claim. After the claim has been paid, both you and the other driver will need to sign a release agreement. Finally, you’ll receive a check from the insurer.

Now that you’ve filed a claim, you’ll want to stay within the guidelines set by your insurer. These rules will apply if you have an insurance policy that allows you to rent a car or to have another person drive it.
